Look and Live

This story still amazes me today, in this picture Moses commanded everyone to look and the serpent and they would be healed of the snake bite they got because of their wickedness. Everyone that looked lived, but the people that didn't look well.... died. In numbers it reads,

The Liahona

I have been thinking a lot about how God can guide us to help us accomplish that task he has asked us to do. There is a story in the Book of Mormon it talks about a family trying to follow the Gods commands,  Lehi was a prophet in Jerusalem, and the Lord commanded him to leave Jerusalem because of the wickedness of the people the city would be destroyed, and he would guide them to a promise land.  Lehi then took his family into the wilderness and one morning on his journey he woke up and opened his tent and on the ground was the liahona, it was like a compass but would piont them in the direction they should go, and as long as they had faith that it would.  It not only lead them to there destination but it lead them to food so that they could stay alive.
The Liahona was a great tool from the Lord that helped Lehi and his family tremendously they would not have made the journey without it.  God has given us a liahona for are day to,  the words of Christ, or the scriptures.

Alma in the Book of Mormon talks about how the words of Christ guide us

In Alma 37:44-45 it says:

"For behold, it is as easy to give heed to the word of Christ, which will point to you a straight course to eternal bliss, as it was for our fathers to give heed to this compass, which would point unto them a straight course to the promised land.

Free copy of the Book of Mormon and Bible

And now I say, is there not a type in this thing? For just as surely as this director did bring our fathers, by following its course, to the promised land, shall the words of Christ, if we follow their course, carry us beyond this vale of sorrow into a far better land of promise."

The scriptures are a spiritual compass that can guide us though hard times and give us answers to are questions of are soul.  They will even lead us all the way back to are "promised land", to are eternal home with are Father in Heaven who loves us more then we could imagine.  He did not leave us alone without a guide to get back to Him he gave us Book of Mormon, The Bible, and other modern scriptures,  it will guide us in where we should do in all aspects in are life.  I know that they are true and that they are the words of Christ, and they will help us follow are savior and bring greater blessings in are life. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

How to Overcome Fears, Be Like Batman

Well me and Batman are sort of similar, and for those that may be concerned I am not going on a ego trip. well I am similar because me and Batman had some fears, different ones but we have them.  You see once upon a time I was afraid of dogs, I don't know why but I guess I was just not around them that much.  So when I got sent out here to California almost everyone has a dog and what used to be my most feared dog the pit bull there is a lot of them out here.   But the more i was around them the more I grew to love them, yes even the pit bull.  But believe it or not Batman had a fear can any of you guess what it was..............keep thinking.........you ready it was BATS!!!!!!!!  GASP!!!!!! NO WAY!!!! You can find this if you watch Batman Begins, but to become Batman he had to overcome that fear , go figure,  and it worked out for his good. Now just like me I have overcome that fear and  I love dogs now they are my favorite and I am going to get one because of my great love for them, haha, which will work out for my good too.  And no I am not going to get in a doggie suit and run around town grinding crime to a pulp.

Mountians that we must climb

So one of my activities that I like to do is to go mountain biking!!!!! woot woot!!!!  I love the mountains and all the hills to climb and all the hills to go down it is so fun.  The views to when you are biking to the top of the mountain is a beautiful sight I love nature and what is in it, and I always admire its beauty.  There is lots of challenges when you are mountain biking rocks to jump off, steep inclines and declines,  rocky trail; and to me that is what makes it so much fun is the challenges that I encounter.

When I was in college at Utah State university, I would go all the time, usually by myself.  but I would try to be as safe

Egg Nog

SO as I was just sitting here at this computer I had a strange urge to talk about Egg Nog , So Egg Nog only comes on christmas and sometimes halloween but if there is any other day out of the year let me know but I usually dont get it till Christmas.  It is so sweet and tasty there is just nothing like it, IT IS SOOOO GOOD.  But since it only comes every now and then I think I seem to appreciate it more.  It also made me think about gratitude and sometimes we don't show or realize how grateful we are for things until we lose it.  I think gratitude is something so powerful.  It can help you to be happier and realize we do have so many blessings, sometimes we just get caught up in getting , whether it be blessings or whatever. Sometimes we just need to be grateful for what we have and we will realize how God has helped us in our lives and that he loves us and is watching over us.  So let us be grateful in this time of season, Love you all and Have a Merry Christmas!!!!!!!!!!!

Well as we all know Christmas is just around the corner.  I love Christmas it really is the most wonderful time of the year.  I love all the lights, all the happy attitudes and most of all Santa!!!!! Yes I'm still a believer.

But anyways around this time starting in December, my family and I write are names on a little piece of paper and stick in in a hat.  Then we draw out a name and It cant be are own name, and whose ever name we got we got to do something nice for them during the week.  Then at the end of the week we would tell that person what kind act we did for them.  It was really great, some times I am guilty of this to

Forget Me Not

Dieter F. Uchtdorf

It is my prayer and blessing that you will never forget that you are truly precious daughters in God’s kingdom.

My dear sisters, what a joy it is to be with you today. I always look forward to this annual general Relief Society meeting and the excellent messages given here. Thank you, sisters. It is a precious honor for me to be assigned by President Thomas S. Monson to speak today and to add a few thoughts addressing the sisters of the Church.

When Nature Calls

Tetons in  Wyoming
One of my favorite things to do is just be outside, in the mountains, forest, woods, the list could go on and on. I remember in one year a group of us decided we would go hike the Tetons in Wyoming and Gary the guy heading this up, told us to prepare because it would be a hard hike. So I decided to go run  in the mountains to prepare, I remember running these trails it was hard sometimes up I found the most amazing views around where I lived and that made it worth it. The time came it was I think sometime in June. we all woke up at 3 that morning, that was rough, and went to go hike the middle Teton, It was only a 8 mile trip to the top but in those 8 miles we would experience a dramatic
