Zelda is possibly one of the best games that has ever been on the earth, I grew up with this game since the time I was five years old. I remember my Mom telling me that I was a really hyper kid, for me I didn't like to watch TV, all I wanted to do is play outside, climb trees, and run around. This was good and bad, because I couldn't calm down from my hyperness, which sometimes would ware out my Mom. So she would try to get me to sit down and watch TV or something to relax me but all I wanted to do is go outside and be one with nature. Then one Christmas, that forever changed my life. Santa Claus brought the legendary Nintendo 64 game of all time Zelda and the Ocarina of Time!!! So I started to play it and I fell in love with it,
I found myself being a hero by the name of Link, in the Kokiri Village, and fighting my battles with Navi,
a fairy, guiding me around Hyrule, walking in the fields and climbing into volcanoes, and saving Princess Zelda and her kingdom from evil, and out of the grasps of Gonondorf. I loved every minute of this game and gave me and my mom time to relax for a little. And my Mom played it with me I got so to spend some time with my Mom to. I fact I got so good at this game and using Links bow and arrow, I got so good at shooting the bow and arrow that my Mom would hand over the controller to me, her 5 year old son, at the shooting ranges if she got stuck, that you find every now and again in the game. Sorry Mom for telling that secret.

But out of all seriousness there is a lot you can learn from Zelda, one of those things is that no matter how hard the task my seem, you can get through it, and make the world a better place. I know that that this can relate to are lives, you see Link was a from little village in the Kokiri Forest, and it was a peaceful community, and Link did not have to face danger so much there. So he was not trained in fighting and defending, but he had something inside him a gift and that gift was courage. But soon there would be a force to deal with, a great evil would enter into the world as he knew it and it would threaten there village, but not just there village, Princess Zelda and not just her, all of Hyrule to. So the Great Deku Tree that protected there village knew about this evil that was coming and sent a fairy to Link to guide him, and make him qualify for the task before him.
Something that was very dear to everyone in the Kokiri Forest, was when they would get there fairy, the fairy would be sent from the Great Deku Tree and it would be their companion and would guide them and teach them and protect them from danger. Everyone that grew up with Link had already got theirs, and link did not have one. They thought something was wrong with him, and thought that he would never get his fairy. But the Great Deku Tree of the village had a plan for him and needed him. His time would come and he would get his own fairy, but it had to be at the right time. Then it became time for Link to get his fairy but not only that he would have to defend the world and defend his village, from Ganondorfs evil reign to have control over everything and everyone. Even the thought of the task seemed almost impossible. You see Ganondorf was a Prince of Darkness and wanted to corrupt the world in every way. Ganondorf was skilled in magic, fighting and many other things, and Link was not. He was nothing but a kid who up to that point never has wielded a sword. But with a little bit of help from his friends and his fairy, and as long as he had the courage to take the stand, he would be victorious. So as he went around from town to town defeating Ganondorfs minions he became strong, and he eventually defeated Ganondorf himself and saved Hyrule.
I loved playing this game so much but I also learned a lot from this game. Even though, we may be weak at the time, and think we could never be strong enough for the task a head of us. With all are effort and with help from the people we love anything is possible. I have also learned that a faith in the Jesus Christ, in this world is a must need to fight of a different enemy, Satan. But as we trust in Him and his plan for us, and also as we humble are self's before him admit that we have weakness he will help us and strengthen us and are weakness will become strong. We will be able to stand and fight against Satan, and is tricks, lies and deceits, and win the battle of life. That is one of the many miracles of the atonement of Jesus Christ, because he knows are weakness, because he has been there and he suffered for us so that we could be strong enough one day to return to live with are Heavenly Father. Just like as my boy Moroni wrote in the Book of Mormon in the Book of Ether 12:27-
Jesus Christ (top) Satan (bottom) |
So lets put are faith in the Lord, Jesus Christ and take are stand, and but all are effort into fighting off Satans minions, and we will be victorious!!! Because with faith in Jesus Christ nothing is impossible. So lets suit up and stand up for righteousness, I leave that with you in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen
